Creature Highlights
Cowtail Stingray
Cowtail stingrays glide close to the seabed, using their large pectoral fins to sweep gracefully across the sand. Their long tails help them navigate and sense movement in the water.
Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray
Bright blue spots make this ray easy to recognise. It rests in sandy areas during the day and uses electro-sensing organs to locate prey hiding beneath the seafloor.
Cownose Ray
Cownose rays swim in a smooth, rhythmic motion, often moving together in groups. Their specialised snouts help them uncover buried clams and crustaceans.
