SINGING COMPETITION
Terms & Conditions
Competition Date: 31 August 2026 (Final Round)
Competition Time: 12:00 PM
Venue: LEGOLAND Malaysia – Beginning Stage
1. Eligibility
- The Merdeka Singing Competition is open to all Malaysian citizens.
- Participants must register through the official registration platform provided by the organizer.
- Employees of the organizer and their immediate family members may participate but are not eligible for the main prizes unless otherwise stated by the organizer.
2. Competition Format
- The competition consists of two (2) stages:
- Preliminary Selection – Submission of a one (1) minute singing video together with the completed registration form.
- Final Round – Selected finalists will perform live at LEGOLAND Malaysia.
- Only shortlisted participants will be invited to compete in the Final Round.
- The Final Round will be held on 31 August 2026 at the LEGOLAND Malaysia Beginning Stage and will commence at 12:00 PM.
- Shortlisted finalists will receive an official invitation from LEGOLAND Malaysia via email or phone prior to the competition date.
- Finalists must report at the time stated in the invitation. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
- Participants are required to perform one (1) patriotic song.
- The live performance duration must not exceed six (6) minutes.
3. Song Selection
- Songs performed must reflect the spirit of Merdeka, Hari Malaysia, patriotism, unity, national pride, or love for Malaysia.
- Participants may choose any song that meets the patriotic theme requirements.
- Songs containing offensive, political, racial, religiously sensitive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content are strictly prohibited.
- The organizer reserves the right to reject any song deemed unsuitable.
4. Performance Requirements
- Participants must perform individually.
- All performances must be performed live at LEGOLAND Malaysia.
- Backing tracks or "minus one" versions are permitted.
- Participants may wear costumes or attire that reflect Malaysian culture, Merdeka, or Hari Malaysia themes.
- Simple props may be used provided they do not obstruct the performance area or create safety hazards.
- Participants are encouraged to demonstrate creativity while maintaining the patriotic theme.
5. Disqualification
Participants may be disqualified if they:
- Fail to comply with the competition rules.
- Use offensive language or gestures.
- Include political, racial, religious, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
- Perform songs that do not match the competition theme.
- Exceed the maximum performance duration.
- Engage in unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Fail to report at the designated reporting time for the Final Round.

7. Judging
- All judges appointed by the organizer are experienced and qualified individuals.
- The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence or appeals will be entertained.
- In the event of a tie, priority will be given to:
- Vocal Quality & Pitch
- Expression & Interpretation
- Overall Stage Performance
8. Registration
- Participants must complete the official registration form.
- Participants must submit a one (1) minute singing video link of their chosen patriotic song together with the completed registration form to llm.socialmedia@legoland.my
- The registration form and one (1) minute singing video must be submitted online on or before 29 August 2026.
- Incomplete or late submissions will not be accepted.
- Only shortlisted participants will be invited to compete in the Final Round.
9. Prizes
The organizer will award prizes as follows:
- Champion: RM500 Cash + LEGO Prize
- First Runner-Up: RM300 Cash + LEGO Prize
- Second Runner-Up: RM200 Cash + LEGO Prize
- Two (2) Consolation Prizes: RM100 Cash + LEGO Prize each
The organizer reserves the right to amend the prize details without prior notice.
10. Media & Publicity
- By participating, contestants agree that photographs, videos, and recordings of their performances may be used by the organizer for promotional, publicity, and marketing purposes without additional compensation.
- Participants grant the organizer the right to publish competition-related content on social media, websites, and promotional materials.
11. General Conditions
- The organizer reserves the right to amend, postpone, cancel, or modify any aspect of the competition at any time without prior notice.
- Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of all Terms & Conditions stated herein.
- Any matters not covered in these Terms & Conditions shall be determined solely by the organizer, whose decision shall be final.
12. Closing Date
- The completed Singing Competition Registration Form and the required one (1) minute singing video must be submitted online by 29 August 2026.
- Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
- Only 10 shortlisted participants will receive an official invitation from LEGOLAND Malaysia to participate in the Final Round on 31 August 2026 at 12:00 PM.
MERDEKA FEST Costume Contest
Terms & Conditions
Competition Date: 29 August 2026 (Saturday)
Competition Time: 12:00 PM
Venue: Beginning Stage, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort
1. Eligibility
- The LEGOLAND Malaysia Costume Contest 2026 ("Competition") is open to all children visiting LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort on the event day.
- Participants must be between 5 and 13 years old on the date of the Competition.
- Each child may participate in one (1) competition category only.
- A parent or legal guardian must accompany the participant during registration and throughout the Competition.
2. Competition Categories
Participants may enter one (1) of the following categories:
Category A – Traditional Costume
Participants are encouraged to wear traditional attire representing the rich cultural heritage of Malaysia, including but not limited to:
- Malay traditional costume
- Chinese traditional costume
- Indian traditional costume
- Indigenous ethnic costumes (e.g. Orang Asli, Iban, Bidayuh, Kadazan-Dusun, and other Malaysian ethnic groups)
Category B – Merdeka Themed Costume
Participants are encouraged to showcase their creativity by wearing costumes inspired by Malaysia's National Day celebration, featuring:
- The colours of the Malaysian flag (Jalur Gemilang)
- Malaysian patriotic elements
- Creative costumes inspired by the Malaysian flag or Merdeka celebrations
3. Registration
- Registration will be conducted on 29 August 2026 @LEGOLAND Malaysia
- Registration opens from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM only.
- Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Participants who fail to register before closing time will not be eligible to compete.
- All participants must report to the registration counter before the Competition begins.
4. Competition Format
- The Competition consists of one (1) session only.
- Participants will compete according to their registered category.
- Each participant will be invited onto the stage individually.
- Participants will:
- Walk confidently across the stage.
- Pose for the judges and audience.
- Showcase the creativity and uniqueness of their costume.
- Judges may interact briefly with participants if required.
- Judging will be based on:
- Creativity and originality
- Relevance to the selected category
- Overall appearance and presentation
- Stage confidence and poise
- Costume craftsmanship and attention to detail (where applicable)
5. Prizes
Each competition category will have the following awards:
- Champion (1st Place) RM500 Worth of LEGO Set
- 1st Runner-Up (2nd Place) RM300 Worth of LEGO Set
- 2nd Runner-Up (3rd Place) RM200 Worth of LEGO Set
In addition:
- All other participants will receive a RM 50 Consolation Prize.
Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
6. General Rules
- Costumes must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment.
- Participants must wear their costumes throughout the Competition.
- Dangerous, sharp, flammable, or hazardous props are strictly prohibited.
- LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort reserves the right to refuse participation if a costume is deemed unsafe, offensive, or inappropriate.
- Parents or guardians may assist participants before they enter the stage but are not permitted to accompany them during the stage presentation unless requested by the organizer.
- Participants must follow all instructions given by the event host and organizing team.
- The judges' decision is final. No appeals or correspondence will be entertained.
7. Photography & Media
- By participating, parents or guardians consent to their child being photographed, filmed, or recorded during the Competition.
- LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort reserves the right to use photographs, videos, and recordings for promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes without further notice or compensation.
8. Liability
- Participants take part in the Competition at their own risk.
- LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or personal property arising from participation in the Competition, except where required by applicable law.
By registering for the LEGOLAND Malaysia Costume Contest 2026, participants and their parents or guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
SPEED BUILDING CHALLENGE
Terms & Conditions
Event Date: 28 August 2026 (Friday)
Time: 3:00 PM
Venue: Beginning Stage, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort
1. Eligibility
- The LEGOLAND Malaysia Speed Building Challenge ("Competition") is open to all valid LEGOLAND Malaysia visitors on the event day.
- Each participating team must consist of one (1) adult (aged 18 years and above) and one (1) child (aged 12 years and below).
- Both team members must be present during registration and throughout the Competition.
- Employees of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort and their immediate family members are eligible to participate but will be subject to the same rules and judging criteria as all other participants.
2. Registration
- Registration will be announced on 28 August 2026 during the event.
- Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Participation is limited to 36 teams only.
- Once all available slots are filled, registration will be closed.
- Participants are responsible for arriving at the competition venue before the reporting time. Teams that fail to report when called may be disqualified and their slot may be offered to the next available team.
3. Competition Format
- The Competition consists of three (3) preliminary rounds.
- Each preliminary round will consist of twelve (12) teams.
- Teams will be required to complete a surprise LEGO® model within the allocated time.
- The LEGO creation will only be revealed at the start of each round.
- The two (2) fastest teams from each preliminary round that successfully complete the model correctly will advance to the Final Round.
- A total of six (6) teams will compete in the Final Round.
- During the Final Round, the six qualifying teams will compete by building another surprise LEGO model.
- Winners will be determined based on the fastest completion time, provided the model is accurately built according to the reference model.
- If a completed model is found to contain errors or missing elements, the team must correct the model before their completion time is recorded.
4. Prizes
The Final Round winners will receive the following prizes:
- Champion (1st Place)
- 1st Runner-Up (2nd Place)
- 2nd Runner-Up (3rd Place)
- The remaining three (3) Final Round teams will each receive a Consolation Prize.
Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
5. General Rules
- Only the registered adult and child may participate in the Competition.
- Team members must work together to complete the LEGO model.
- No assistance from spectators or other participants is permitted.
- Participants must not interfere with or distract other competing teams.
- Any form of cheating, unsportsmanlike conduct, or failure to follow the instructions of the event officials may result in immediate disqualification.
- The judges' decision is final and no correspondence or appeals will be entertained.
- LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort reserves the right to amend the Competition format, rules, prizes, or schedule without prior notice should circumstances require.
6. Photography & Media
- By participating, all participants consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded during the Competition.
- LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort reserves the right to use photographs, videos, and recordings for promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes without further compensation or notice.
7. Liability
- Participants join the Competition at their own risk.
- LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or personal property arising from participation in the Competition, except where required by applicable law.

BATIK PAINTING COMPETITION
Terms & Conditions
Competition Date: 30 August 2026 (Sunday)
Competition Time: 5:00 PM
Venue: Beginning Stage, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort
1. Eligibility
- The LEGOLAND Malaysia Batik Painting Competition 2026 ("Competition") is open to all children visiting LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort on the event day.
- Participants must be between 5 and 13 years old on the date of the Competition.
- A parent or legal guardian must accompany the participant during registration and throughout the Competition.
- Each participant is allowed one (1) entry only.
2. Registration
- Registration will be conducted on 30 August 2026 at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
- Registration opens from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM only.
- Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Participants who fail to register before closing time will not be eligible to compete.
- All participants must report to the competition venue before the Competition begins.
3. Competition Format
- The Competition consists of one (1) session only.
- Each participant will be provided with the following materials:
- One (1) Batik painting cloth
- Paint brushes
- Batik paints
- Colour palette
- Participants must use only the materials provided by the organizer.
- The painting theme will be announced by the emcee before the Competition begins.
- Participants will be given a fixed amount of time to complete their artwork.
- Once the allocated time has ended, participants must immediately stop painting and submit their artwork for judging.
4. Judging Criteria
Artwork will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and originality
- Colour combination and presentation
- Neatness and overall finishing
- Interpretation of the competition theme
- Overall artistic impression
5. Prizes
The Competition will award the following prizes:
- Champion (1st Place)
- 1st Runner-Up (2nd Place)
- 2nd Runner-Up (3rd Place)
In addition:
- All other participants will receive a Consolation Prize and a Certificate of Participation.
Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
6. General Rules
- Participants must complete the artwork independently. Assistance from parents, guardians, or spectators is not permitted during the Competition.
- Only the materials supplied by the organizer may be used unless otherwise instructed.
- Participants must not exchange materials or interfere with other participants.
- Any participant found cheating or receiving outside assistance may be disqualified.
- All completed artworks become the property of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort unless otherwise stated by the organizer.
- Participants must follow all instructions given by the event host and organizing team.
- The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence or appeals will be entertained.
7. Photography & Media
- By participating, parents or guardians consent to their child being photographed, filmed, or recorded during the Competition.
