Bigger and Better Things to Come as LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Hosts Prestigious Fifth Anniversary Appreciation & Awards Night

ISKANDAR PUTERI, 24 February 2017 – It was a night of cheers and ovations as LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort hosted its Fifth Anniversary Appreciation & Awards Night for agents, partners, and media guests. The future looks bright for Malaysia’s top family resort as it recognized its top agents, introduced its new General Manager and celebrated future plans.

The highlight of the night was certainly the debut of the resort’s brand new General Manager, Mr. Kurt Stocks. “I’m very happy with this new challenge. This is a resort that has achieved many great things in its five years of operations, and my vision is to lead it to achieve much more for the next five. And with the stellar team we have, we’re well equipped to do so,” said Kurt.

LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is no stranger to being recognized for awards. It recently won TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Award, ranked No.1 in the Malaysian Family Hotel of the Year category for the second year, and made the country proud by being in the only Malaysian team in the top ten of the Asian Family Hotel of the Year category, coming in eighth. Recently, the resort also won the CTRIP TRAVELERS’ TOP SPOT 2016 Best Family Hotel, which was won from receiving 98% from Greater China tourists with a 4.6 and above rating (from 5.0) satisfactory rating. More than that, the excellent work of their Entertainments team, the puppeteers from LEGO® NINJAGO: The Realm of Shadows won them the 2016 International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Brass Ring Award for the Best Theatrical Production. These awards serve to showcase the high international standards the resort holds itself up to and its results in key markets around the globe.

The Fifth Anniversary Appreciation & Awards Night was also a night as LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort looks to the bright future ahead as it unveiled exciting plans for 2017/2018. Despite having invested more than RM40 million in its latest mega attraction, LEGO® NINJAGO The Ride, it’s also gearing up for awesome fifth anniversary celebrations with its guests, and adding more attractions to its Theme Park. These planned attractions will follow in the footsteps of LEGO® NINJAGO The Ride, merging state-of-the-art technology with theme park experiences, and are set to take the resort to even greater heights and strengthen its position as the darling of Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
